We keep this simple: one cookie that makes the site work, and Google Analytics so we can see which pages are useful. Here is exactly what is set, and how to switch off anything you would rather not have.
liftedspace.com uses an essential session cookie (needed for forms and the client portal) and Google Analytics cookies that count visits and page views. We run no advertising, remarketing or social-media tracking pixels. You can block or delete any cookie through your browser, and you can opt out of Google Analytics entirely — the site works fine either way.
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device. When you come back, the browser sends the cookie back, which lets the site recognize the session, remember a choice, or count the visit.
First-party cookies are set by the site you are visiting — here, liftedspace.com. Third-party cookies are set by another company whose content is embedded in the page, such as a Google Maps frame. Session cookies disappear when you close your browser; persistent cookies stay for a set period.
This policy also covers similar technologies that store or read data on your device, such as local storage and pixel tags. It forms part of our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle the personal information behind all of this.
We use cookies for two reasons, and only two:
| Category | What it does | Can you turn it off? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Maintains your session, keeps forms and portal sign-in working, and supports basic security and spam prevention. | Not through us — the site cannot function without it. You can still block it in your browser, but forms and the portal will stop working. |
| Analytics / performance | Counts visits and page views, measures how people move through the site, and reports on it in aggregate. | Yes. See Section 9. |
| Functional (embedded content) | Set by embedded third-party content such as the Google Maps frame on our contact page. | Yes — block third-party cookies in your browser. The embedded map may then not display. |
| Advertising / targeting | Builds profiles to target ads across sites. | Not applicable — we do not use these. |
These are the cookies our site sets. Names and lifetimes can change when a provider updates its software; we review this list when we make changes.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Type | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|---|
PHPSESSID |
liftedspace.com (first party) |
Identifies your browsing session on our server so multi-step forms, order requests and client portal sign-in work correctly. It holds a random identifier — no personal information. | Strictly necessary | When you close your browser |
_ga |
Google Analytics (first party) |
Assigns a randomly generated ID so repeat visits can be counted as one visitor rather than several. | Analytics | 2 years |
_ga_W5FMG88G6R |
Google Analytics (first party) |
Keeps session state for our specific Analytics property, so page views are grouped into visits. | Analytics | 2 years |
Blocking PHPSESSID will not break the pages you read, but quote forms, order requests and portal sign-in will not work.
Some parts of the Site load content from other companies. Those companies may set their own cookies on their own domains, or receive your IP address and browser details simply because your device requests a file from them. We do not control their cookies.
| Service | Where it appears | What it may store or receive | Their policy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics | Every page | Sets the _ga cookies above; receives page URLs, referrer, approximate location from IP, device and browser details. |
Google Privacy Policy |
| Google Maps | Contact page (embedded map) | May set Google cookies such as NID or SOCS on Google domains, and receives your IP address when the map loads. |
Google Privacy Policy |
| Google Fonts | Every page (typefaces) | No cookies; receives your IP address and browser details to deliver the font files. | Google Privacy Policy |
| Cloudflare cdnjs | Every page (icon library) | No cookies; receives your IP address and browser details to deliver the icon stylesheet. | Cloudflare Privacy Policy |
| Payment processor | Only on payment pages we send you to | Handles your payment details under its own policy. No payment is taken on the public website — see our Privacy Policy. | Provided at the time of payment |
We do not run advertising or remarketing pixels, social-media tracking pixels, cross-site advertising cookies, session-replay or heatmap recorders, or fingerprinting scripts. We have not enabled Google's advertising or remarketing features on our Analytics property, and we do not sell or share cookie data — see our Privacy Policy.
If that ever changes, we will update this page before turning anything on, and where consent is required we will ask for it first.
Beyond cookies, the Site may use your browser's local storage to hold data on your device — for example to remember a garage design or product configuration you were working on, so it isn't lost if you reload the page. This data stays on your device, is not automatically sent to us, and is cleared when you clear your browser's site data.
Product pages may also launch your device's built-in augmented-reality viewer (AR Quick Look on iOS, Scene Viewer on Android) to preview a lift in your space. That viewer is part of your operating system, we do not receive the camera feed or any images from it, and nothing from those sessions is stored on our servers.
Your browser gives you full control. You can see what is stored, delete it, block cookies from specific sites, block all third-party cookies, or have everything cleared each time you close the browser. Private or incognito windows discard cookies when the window closes.
Bear in mind that blocking cookies applies across the whole web, not just to us, and that blocking strictly necessary cookies here will stop our forms and client portal from working.
To stop Google Analytics from measuring your visits, any one of these works:
_ga cookies listed above and set your browser to block cookies from this site.Opting out does not reduce the site's functionality in any way.
Global Privacy Control (GPC). Some browsers and extensions send a GPC signal telling sites not to sell or share your personal information. We honor it. In practice nothing changes on our end, because we do not sell or share personal information for advertising to begin with — see Section 8 of our Privacy Policy.
Do Not Track (DNT). There is still no common industry standard for how sites should respond to DNT, so we do not currently respond to DNT headers. We do not track you across other websites regardless of the setting.
We will update this policy if we add, remove or change the technologies we use, or if cookie names or lifetimes change. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision. Please check back occasionally.
